Notes About The Poem

Creating a New You

Written: August 28, 2023 ______________________________________________________________ If you don't covet where you live, my friend, Imagine a fitter home, a place to mend, A sanctuary where dreams come alive, A space where bliss and hope will thrive. Picture walls that tell stories, so grand, Of triumphs and adventures, hand in hand, Each brick whispered tales of joy and pride, Where memories of smiles will forever reside. In life's vast garden, we all wander free. Seeking souls whose presence brings us glee If those you are with don't share your happiness, Find raw companions—a tribe of blissfulness. In the field of labor, where dreams collide, Lies and truths are often hidden deep inside. If your task doesn't bestow joy to your heart, It's time to embark on an untarnished start. Our time is short to be spent in despair. Toiling away with no joy to share. If your days are filled with boredom and dread, It's time to tailgate your heart instead. Even the shoes you wore last year Need to be replaced, my dear. As the seasons retreat and forego, So too must your footwear flow. Don't be embarrassed to experiment. Wear modern shoes and embrace merriment. Let your feet move to a different rhyme. Discover a style that impels you to feel sublime. Gone are the worn-out soles of the past. Step into unknown and persuade your stride last. With each step, you'll feel the ground anew. Leaving behind what no longer serves you

You have a wonderful way with words and thoughts. You don't strain to write. Thoughts and ideas come flowing... rather spurt out in torrents ! The ease with which you handle subjects is enviable. Yes, life is too short to be wasted on repetition of useless pursiuits. Instead embrace new things and discard everything outdated! Remarkable....penning. Excellent poem!

Oh, I definitely love the essence and thought-provoking depth of this piece, it definitely brings me the sense of learning from past experiences, giving one's own self another chance to actually live life and embrace the new.. Trying to explore one's own soul! "In life's vast garden, we all wander free", "if your task doesn't... Untarnished start" Ahh, so breathtaking.. Yes, life's too short to let it get slipped away without even devouring its colours.. Love this write so much, as always, wow!

Your poem was fun. Now I am in the chair, my shoes don't wear out. So I reckon they are good til I check out. I guess I will never be an Amelda! nice writing SP. I remember reading somewhere " to see the character of a man, look at his wife's shoes" I am still comprehending it" but your poem brought it to mind. Best wishes Enjoyed the poem.
