Crazy Days

Too wild, too willful, to eager to know why
the girl who owned the world,
but the girl was full of anxiety, the girl
was alive, like a roaring fire, heated only
by the hope, the desire, the dreams
bursting from her spirit, singing, revealing
a heart too wild, too willful, to eager
to hear the love that leaves her assured
she finally knows life’s reason
she’s finally felt her soul’s season
she finally believes, and she’s thinking
this God, her heart’s Maker,
the song in her soul, the love that makes her whole…

She’s too wild, too willful, too eager
But GOD…

He sees her, frees her, and brings her
through the darkness, the shadows, the fires
that reveal to this world – just how crazy,
how absurd, the words that somehow hurt
but remember, they’re only words…

But, God… He sees her, He frees her, He brings her
through the worst that comes, the darkest storms,
the feelings that defeat her hopes,
the emotions that destroy her heart,
the fears that linger to break her,
the tears that delight in her pain,
the war that becomes her life’s song…

but, God… He remembers her heart
He silences the grief in her night
He restores her when she feels lost
He reveals the freedom He bought
He colors her dreams in joy and hope
He sings to her spirit, a gentle love
He allows her to know the blessing…
	of His precious grace,
		the blessing of sweet faith
the beautiful that lives in a heart who sees
beyond the darkness, beneath the grief
to the still, clear joy that comes to those
who simply believe His love will compose
a song of wonder, a song of hope
a song that never fades… He is the light
and with Him shining, there is no night

With Him to guide her, there is eternal life!
