Cracking Windows

We always keep the windows cracked To get a little air. Of course, we may then be attacked By winter’s frigid fare. But that’s okay – some extra clothes Provide a counter point So we will never, I suppose, Be very out of joint. Apartments get a lot of heat Which often seems extreme, Though window-cracking helps us beat The dominance of steam.

I like thinking of you enjoying a bit of the outdoors while you sleep. Lovely poem.

Hi Ilene. I go through the same thing. Here in Ontario, Canada we are regulated in Housing to 2 degrees above room temperature by law. Now most people keep their windows open and let the heat out all day. The irony is we want the steam to escape but we also want the wet cool air from outside. Is that steam too? LOL Trevor

It seems ironic to heat a home and then open the window but a blast of fresh air does us the world of good:-) hugs Jan xx
