Cracked Android Screen
All the times his hands fumbled,
Reaching for the vibration.
Nervous hands and fast feet,
Creating a story with every
Slip and drop.
Sent text and rejected calls,
The quick slip to the corner,
Belting out nervous apologies.
Dropping, kicking the cracks
Speaking louder,
Than either ever could.
Table tops and dirty bathroom floors,
Sweaty palms and jittery fingers,
Switching the heartbeat to silent.
Sometimes in love there’s secrets
only two should know.
But the cracks are there,
Lit by a dimmed screens glow.
