Cracked
She wanted to change around the room,
Said the way it was only reflected gloom.
Stating the room needed a sunny aspect.
Trust me I was in no position to object.
Many of you men might understand,
This morning she had the upper hand.
Well, you see I stayed out late last night,
Forgot to ring and tell her I was alright.
When I got home, I got some evil looks,
So, I have work to get in her good books.
Moving heavy furniture from here to there.
“Don’t put it there! It’s where I want the chair.
Maybe we should put these three big chairs,
In the corner of Noah’s old room, upstairs”
The sofa weighs a ton. Lifting it, I hear a crack.
Oh, that’s done it. There goes my poor back !
