Covered With Love

Ten thousand stitches maybe more Two hundred patches to adore Reminds me of my life before before I moved away All through summer and without leisure She sat and sewed in constance pleasure I watched Her every cut and measure measured Me while out at play Then in the fall, when Jack Frost creeped up to my window, while fast asleep found me bundled in a heep of patches with out fray Now through the years, when it gets cold I lay in comfort, head to toe Thanking God, Mom learned to sow Right up until this day

Oh Jerry what a beautiful easy poem to read and perfect rhyming, I absolutely loved it from the start to the finish, Mum sounds a bit like I was, sewing for my children but not these days too old and besides they have all grown up but where would you be without your mum but like mum I am glad I learnt to sow, have a great day and take care.....Vera
