Weird times Parker. I've seen patches of rainbows in clouds, the double rainbows, a straight line not arc in the sky that was a rainbow, and then a Dogstar Rainbow (full circular around the Sun, or so it seemed). Scientific or a divine Sign? Perhaps both. One wonders what all the messing around in the tunnel at CERN is resulting in....

To see signs, like that, would imply one to have a strong sense of 'faith'. Dreams are fascinating places where our 'soul' meets those other 'souls' and beings "Light" and "Dark", kind and ferocious ...mystifying and revelationary. I believe messages are in fact, delivered to us, in our dreams....kind of like that D.H. Lawrence quote I love, " “This is what I believe: That I am I. That my soul is a dark forest. That my known self will never be more than a little clearing in the forest. That gods, strange gods, come forth from the forest into the clearing of my known self, and then go back. That I must have the courage to let them come and go. That I will never let mankind put anything over me, but that I will try always to recognize and submit to the gods in me and the gods in other men and women. There is my creed.” x

I can relate to the sighting of rainbow as an omen. Back in the early 70's. First month of my divorce from my first wife, I was in a very miserable state of being. I mean at the maxx. I woke from a very vivid dream on Saturday afternoon. In that dream I stood at the base of a rainbow and a voice told me -ALL- was going to be alright. I quickly dressed to go grab a bite to eat , walk out to get on my motorcycle and immediately to the East was a very brilliant rainbow!!! Right then , I knew the dream was a message sent to me. And true, things did turn out alright.. I just needed confirmation because I was at that point almost about to give up on life. Science can not explain everything. Signs are sent to us, we just have to be able to see and to accept them. God bless..

It all commenced with reading another poet's story around a Rainbow. I actually saw a remarkable rainbow, stunningly vibrant and extremely low, while I was out and about a few days ago. It was like a neon sign flashing an ominous message or beautiful revelation. Strangely though, it was odd to see so many people stopping dead in there tracks and taking photos. I think they were of the opinion it was just a stunning creation of science, or a phenomonon, a beautiful revelation. It hit home to me, that during these awful times we have all been experiencing this year and leading up to this year, worldwide, or purely within our own life's journey/path - people need to see signs of promise and significance, signs of grace and great beauty; this Rainbow seemed to envelop that sense or feeling stirred in us as we all looked and took photos of it...

My photo on the next page here, does it no justice. I got to thinking about the science behind it all and then the 'phenomonon' aspect of it weighed against a verse in the bible, the book that people like to quote throughout their poetry here. I shall have to investigate what other cultures and religions have to say about "the Rainbow". A few years back, someone recommended I watch The Netflix Movie, "The Shack", I watched it for the first time last night, after having written this poem. There are elements of colour and light brought into the movie's story toward's it's ending. I wonder sometimes if messages are being sent, or I am just going overboard. Perhaps Rainbows are a sign of something more than we could ever understand and beyond science. When you think there are no Rainbows metaphorically in your life, they arrive when least expected, to prove you so totally wrong. To me they are a sign of 'promise' and 'hope'.

People will either witness these appearances in the sky, as merely scientific, the result of chemical elements in the sky and light refractions; or they will see them as paranormal. Beliefs of a spiritual nature, could be aligned with the 'paranormal'. The paranormal is a phenomonon. Covenant seemed to be a good title, as it relates to a promise and it gives hope. God could be seen as paranormal.

X. I was out in nature and saw this amazing Rainbow, so low and vivid. It was that low in the sky here in Sydney, people stopped on the streets and were taking photos, like it was a "sign" for something. I read a poem by another poet in the Consomme yesterday, the storyline revolving around a Rainbow. Got me thinking....Thanks Molly.
