Counterfeit heart

Staring down inside -
Seeing worms around me
Couldn’t see -
What you lost in me
My heart Isn’t counterfeit

I’m laying still now
Beneath the ground now
Trapped inside my mind
Can’t seem to crawl out
Beneath the ground
My heart isn’t counterfeit

Take me away now
Where sunshine shines
Under the moonlight
Staring up in the limelight
Catching fireflies
Until I die

My heart isn’t counterfeit
It’s not plastic -
It’s real
Something to heal
My heart
To heal
