Notes About The Poem

Count All Your Blessings

Count All Your Blessings
Count all your blessings Each one you’ve known Thank the Lord God truly For each glory shown. Count all your blessings Teach hearts to love A gift that’s yours to give From God above. The seeds that you’ve sown Need tender care to grow Into beautiful souls Our dear Lord tells us so. Count all your blessings Teach how to love A gift that’s yours to give From God above. The seeds that you’ve sown Need tender care to grow Into beautiful souls Our dear Lord tells us so. Count all your blessings Teach how to love A gift that’s yours to give From God above. *+*+*
6th December 2021 ((( To be sung to the tune of “Climb Every Mountain” from the musical - The Sound of Music )))

Thank you Paula, I apologise for my late reply, I can’t concentrate on poetry whilst I’ve got my husband so very ill in hospital. “Happy New Year” ~ Belle

Dear Belle, how true each and every syllable is, amidst pain, we curse our destiny merely to forget the blissful blessings we still have something not to loose hope even in those darkest hours! Thought I didn't hear the song yet, still can feel, nothing can be more apt and lyrical than the one.. Best wishes

Thank you very much Silpika, I’m late replying as I’m not on the site much, my husband is still very ill in hospital after eight weeks since being admitted. Best wishes for a “Happy New Year” … Belle

Your poem is so very moving. I have lost 2 people in my life, to cancer, COPD recently. It is ironic how I came across your poem today. Time to not take my own healthy life for granted anymore. This is a beautiful poem. God bless. Mary Catherine

Thank you Mary, I’m so sorry to hear of your loss, three in a month is undeniably heartbreaking. My husband is in hospital seriously ill, I know I’ll never take good health for granted ever again, it has made me see how fragile life is. God bless… Belle
