Cosmic Chess
The world ended
In a flash.
Frayed nerves,
Hate, distrust
and touchy fingers
Ended it.
Missiles were fired,
Which ended
All talks
and Humanity.
It was all over,
One flash
Nothing left
But,
A burned-out planet.
High Above
In the heavens,
God sat,
Head bent
In defeat.
Staring down
At the blackened cinders
Of his creation.
Across the heavens
Satan sat smiling.
"Well," the devil said,
"I won that one easily.
Shall, we play again?"
God looked
At his opponent.
"Yes," he said.
"But, this time
I want
The evil forces."
