Corona, the Circle of Light Prayer
Dear Mother Earth
I apologize
For all my poor judgement
And indifferent acts
Against the will of your perfection
Though my path is the road to renewal
It is not enough to warrant your forgiveness
All of us need be together
In the acts of life
To relate on the elements of importance
To our mutual and beneficial existence
However
Our nation has separated its heart
Our families have almost disappeared
Our lifestyles have left simplicity
to become ingenuous
We instead seek power, money and self-indulgence
for our instant gratification
and the almighty dollar
inconsequential to the lives around us
Our failure of caring and equality of life
Now takes its toll
And now you lay us low
With the smallest creature that slays us
A creature that is the uncaring sinister soul of survival
It will take us, our loved ones
away from the madness and mistakes of the past
Forcing us to bond to each others potential
To work together to save ourselves
And those we love
Please open your loving arms
Be gentle and merciful with your anger and wrath
Your vengeance is ambivalent and blind
It serves the good of all
As you take the weakest of us
To make us strong
That is the new Corona
The circle of light
The one that glows in its aura of hope
That keeps us in the warmth of love and faith
Together
