Coping Hourly

"Coping Hourly"
By Adrea Sherman

I've been stolen and sorely borrowed
My sunshines been dimmed and hollowed
The 'taken for granted' days were easy
Just cause I let it sink deep deep within...
dont mean dealing has been easy

And I tried
All I did was try
Took beyond courage
To look you in the eye
You were my strength
That brought me down
You let our love turn to ash
Making sense as much
As an invisible car crash

I've been stripped but liked it
I've been taken but enjoyed it
But this, it was too much
You don't regret it
And yet made it so I do
My life was good for awhile
But my heart wishes I never met you
And this is beyond cliché
But in an unimaginable way
To be told by the one you love
That you need to get over the one you love
Its more like coping hourly...
not day by day

And I tried
All I did was try
Took beyond courage
To look you in the eye
You were my strength
That brought me down
You let our love turn to ash
Making sense as much
As an invisible car crash
