Cool Shade At the Bottom
cool shade at the bottom
life up top can remain there
the air has never been cleaner or fresher
the water has never been clearer or purer
the birds have never been freer or more melodic
if i had my wish, then i would stay here forever
my cell phone decided to be defiant today
it exposed my frustrations and the nonsensical factors of it all
the quiet of the late morning breeze makes me forget that it is almost summer
i close my eyes and focus on nothing
i do breathing exercises to maintain the balance of my blood pressure as well as my calm
if i had my wish, then i would freeze this moment forever
