Cool September Night
Barely a breeze whispering
on this cool September night
Up in the clear dark sky
the moon is shining bright
The stars look small and far away
they twinkle like diamond dust
Those stars and moon like candlelight
keep shining down on us
A gentle mist is forming
as it floats along the ground
The insects are all silent
nothing makes a sound.
