Four other movies I thought she was her best in: Jo Jo Rabbit/ Hitchcock/ The Marriage Story/ and HER (another sci-fi)

Controversial Scarlett

Wiggedly giggledly
Scarlett Johanasson.
She’ll play “any person”
or “any tree.”

“Under the Skin” - a film
fant-alien-ation -
had her preying on men.
All right by me!

for William Kekaula's Double Dactyl (Win For Paid Membership) Poetry Contest

"Under the Skin" is a movie in which she plays an alien who needs to eat men to
sustain herself. It was a controversial sci-fi movie that people either loved or hated. Hope the made up word comes through: Fant as beginning of "fantastic"

This is really good, Andrea! Somebody once said: When you go to watch one of Scarlett's movies you don't watch the film, but you watch her! ~ Regards // paul

Yes, it's okay with me if Scarlett preys away. Very funny entry for the contest and it's sure to be a winner! Hugs, Carolyn

You have done a great job considering the fact that you used a made up word. A winner for me. Not easy. Very tough this way.

Not familiar with this form, Andrea, like how you have written this. She has a Scandinavian name or Icelandic?

I never saw that movie. I saw a similar film titled "Species". Ben Kingsley and several others whose names I cannot remember were in that flick.

Thanks Andrea for your detailed response. I remember seeing it initially. Now the word necro-romantically has been removed. I guess maybe not many participants that's why. I think both of us are correct. You are such a helpful person. God bless you. Have a wonderful day ahead Andrea. Take care Rama

I managed to see it by viewing the Joe and Marilyn poem given as an example of the form when I went to "types of poems" and then definition of Double Dactyl. It's kind of a crazy invention!! Many members have come up with really good forms of their own. It's too bad those easier ones are not also listed under Soup's "types of poem"

Thanks for your visit to my poem and comments. No where I could find that we have to come up with a new double dactyl word. Can you please copy and paste that sentence where it is mentioned. Would be obliged. Have a wonderful day ahead. Thanks once again. Take care Rama

they said it this way: Another line, usually the sixth often has a single, double dactyl phrase that has never been used in conventional poems.(I took it to mean "made up" word. Their example was "necro-romantically" But in another part they said a word like valedictorian is ok, so I guess I did not have to worry about that!!

Nicely done, Andrea! An unusual write from you!
Dietrich Avatar
February 9, 2021 at 1:25 PM
because it's an unusual form. It basically limits even the name of the person you can write about because that name has to SOUND like Scarlett's name with that kind of meter and number of syllables. I hope I did the other rules correctly, like coming up with a made up word in line 6!

Don't know about her but she is beautiful! This is a tough form. I did it but not sure I am correct or not. All the best for contest. Take care Rama

I haven't seen the movie nor will I ever see it. I am not into that kind of movie at all. You did a good job explaining it now I know not to even consider it. Sara

I hope he likes my poem. If a person has lifetime membership and wins, they can assign the reward to person of their choosing, which I sure hope would happen for me, but I see many great entries, so I am not holding my breath. I would feel lucky just to even place on the list at all.

I kept looking for the 'A' on Scarlett's ample chest in the first picture, but I couldn't find it. So I kept looking and looking and looking... Still haven't found it... ~ Nathaniel Hawthorne
