Contentment Bliss
I thank God for contentment* bliss
Grace-filled that my heart cannot miss
Marked with great satisfaction gain
Glowing along service-terrain.
Contentment bliss shows soul that’s blest
Genuine gladness to share with zest
Devoid of greedy selfish blight
Midst true satisfaction delight.
Praying that contentment bliss reigns
My faith must smite jealousy strains
While in good works I do abound
Standing upon Christ’s kindness-ground.
Aware of contentment bliss price
Saviour’s love and mercy suffice
My goal is to triumph with peace
Reaching-out defying doubts’ crease.
Along contentment bliss posture
Toward ministerial venture
My spirit basks in glad worship
Around Almighty’s fellowship.
*1Timothy 6:6, 11 But godliness with contentment is great gain… O man of God… follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.
