Contemplating
The winter sun has showed it self
With a ring of awareness around it
Muddled tones of brown and orange earth
Peek out of the bare patches not covered
With white iced crystals
They lay there so dull and lifeless
Once were perched and pampered ornaments of summer
And stillness reaches me
As I walked the path of winters glories
While I gave thought to the many stories
That rustled in my mind
Small are the creators that lull, through the fresh passage of time
Nurturing themselves, on stale crumbs left over, from seasons passed
Now I see the shadow of myself grow and change
At last to my weariness
Light rearranges with the movement
As I enter the door
Not much later I see
The change of light
To what must be the night?
Thus the cycle of life
