Conspiracy Theory
Conspiracy Theory
Dreams conspire
huddling beneath pillows,
curdling thoughts
spilling into sleep,
conjoined contradictions
circling confusion’s
REM sleep strobe.
Faces wander
through a mist
that never was,
awakening
dormant revelers,
reigniting a fevered
forgetfulness.
Muscles tense,
hearts pound,
innocent sheets
lay witness
to life’s aftermath
revisited.
Consciousness intrudes,
sunshine
in a dark room,
blinding the shadows
stumbling
over yesterdays
clinging
to dreams.
