Consequence

The decision seemed so obvious.
My lust for pleasure drove me thus.
I rushed right in, oblivious to pride,
my fickle whims my foolish guide.
Wisdom was omitted, no pause for thought.
Irrevocable regret is what it brought.

Thanks for noticing. Many things can drive our lust. It could even be lust for chocolate and the regret after eating too much. :)
