Connected, Body and Soul

I don't like him. He's just not nice Oh, really? Not your cup of spice? What did he do that was so bad? He told me I have a mean old dad So I told him to scram, to go away But before he did, he had more to say O.K. I hear you. That man sure was mean Yet blowing him off will not solve a thing We and our fellows are connected body and soul If a limb needs repair, that's our shared goal So, tell him his words hurt you, but you don't want to fight You just wish he'd see your dad in a new light Help this man, befriend him, 'til his soul once again is right Then he too will love your dad, thanks to your care and insight

Good descriptive couplets. Check out your third one: Did you leave out a second "a" in "awy"?

Hi Gershon, You've penned a well-written poem with a great solid message. I agree we all are connected. Your final four lines sum up your message perfectly. Well done:-)Alexis

I heard a saying once - 'Be kind to unkind people, because they need it the most' - your wise words brings so much compassion into what could have ended much differently, we should all try to follow that advice~
