Connected, Body and Soul
I don't like him. He's just not nice
Oh, really? Not your cup of spice?
What did he do that was so bad?
He told me I have a mean old dad
So I told him to scram, to go away
But before he did, he had more to say
O.K. I hear you. That man sure was mean
Yet blowing him off will not solve a thing
We and our fellows are connected body and soul
If a limb needs repair, that's our shared goal
So, tell him his words hurt you, but you don't want to fight
You just wish he'd see your dad in a new light
Help this man, befriend him, 'til his soul once again is right
Then he too will love your dad, thanks to your care and insight
