Connect With Nature

In need of fresh air, and to clear my mind. I could think of no better place than the beach. So hike I did down to the beach.

Sitting on the beach admiring this ageless ocean whilst the crashing waves hypnotizes me into freeing my soul, and dance to the rhythm of the water.

Freeing my coverups and dance I did towards her body of water. No jumping, just gently laying on top and letting her afloat me away. Calmly and gently hugging me whilst washing away my despairs.

Before long I was back on feet. A gentle wave tickle my feet, letting me know I’ll be just fine. Smiling with gratitude, I softly whispered my thanks, and hike I did back home feeling refreshed.

There are few things more calming and serene as the ocean. I'm not a big swimmer anymore, but will put my chair at the edge of the water & put my legs right in. Your lines:" Calming and gently hugging me whilst washing away my despairs" brought me back to this experience in the summer. I love your poetry. I could feel this one with my eyes closed after reading.

Fin, What a fortunate circumstance it is to be close to a seashore. I had plenty of delight learning about this personification.

I like this. It reminds me of the time I desperately wanted to swim in the Mediterranean sea with our study abroad group in Spain, but it was SO cold that day. I was the only person who went into the water and just floated around until it brought me back to shore. Boy, was I shivering afterward.

Lol @ shivering. Yeah, I’m sure I wouldn’t want to be in a cold water for long either. When I was in Hawaii, and Florida, i would stayed in longer. They have warmer water.

"I could think of no better place than the beach" - Indeed, a beach is physically and psychologically soothing. "the crashing waves hypnotizes me", "letting her afloat me away" - Poesy overflows. Great work.

Hi Jim, yeah I guess the beach isn’t for everyone. But being that I grew up on the beach, makes it one of my most favorite place to spend. Thank you though for your lovely comment dear. Have a great weekend. :)
