Congress At Its Best
It’s that almighty dollar
That’s what’s really to blame
Including those that were honest
As cash now has pushed them to shame
They never saw it coming
It just slipped right up and took hold
And changed a many from half honest folk
Whose hearts are now ice cold
They thought no one was looking
Just a little here and there
But then the coffers opened wide
With millions for all to share
That printing press runs twenty-four
As it spits out all that loot
And anyone not buying in
Well the others just give um the boot
There’s not one single poor man
Up there making laws these days
And once they grab that office
It’s in D.C. they want to stay
There’s none with a conscience
Oh you can trust me on this
That’s why I’m bending over my friends
And telling congress where they can kiss
A housecleaning needs to come alive
With tar and feathers by the ton
And then make sure they understand truths
If for a political job they’ll run
