Congratulazioni -An Itlaian Word

(Meaning Congratulation) Mom, see this is my prize, the Golden trophy; timing record I've broken while reaching first in the sports event of 'The Half Marathon race'; it meant one to cover 21.1 km distance with no stop. Smilingly, with tears in her eyes she embraced her son, whispering with glee, I'm so proud of you. Your Dad surely would have been glad to see you're pushy like him, to do best to shine in sports. Mom, you know, when I could see the red ribbon at finishing line ahead, my body was aching and crying out sorely for oxygen; drying throat, legs become hard, I's wavering. The end is within sight, wandering can I touch red ribbon conquering the coveted winner's podium; but in my head someone telling me what you're doing, stop, don't try, you can't do. You're on the verge of total collapse – that voice getting much louder; perhaps I would have stopped but at that crucial time what made me to think, refusal; refused to be deterred by body. I continued to run, I don't know how continued despite that let go feelings in my head, just moved ahead towards finish line, can't be misled and crossed red ribbon, continued more... Coach ran towards me patted, shouted my persistence he never doubted; ‘Congratulazioni’, my dear boy; yes, my friends and coach were full of joy; took me on their shoulders while cheering. Coach said, those who outlast everyone else will have the last laugh, let’s have fun. Mom said, you're like your Dad who never gave up, fought till end, just remember capacity to persist is Key. Mom told, you know, HE has watched your sheer determination driven to steer gave magic power and you're able to muster strength, HE kept you stable to reach the finish line with glory. ~X~X~X~
