Conglomerate
Climb aboard the roller coaster of life
you've now come into glorious being
settled into the maternal seat.
A slow developmental climb
to the pinnacle-into the light
thank God
somebody honored your right... to live.
Up and down through life you go
atop sunlit hills
and tunnels of pure indigo...
somewhere along the hazy ride
somebody fashioned blazing wings to time.
The laughter and screams
come in waves
as do victories and defeats
a few horrors -a thousand thrills
catch a whiff of devil's breath and daffodil.
Through gilded times the pyrite smiles
you've pinched and you've given
from the conglomerate stone called life.
Before you've time to soak it all in
you come round the final bend.
Everything slows- the ride is over
into the grate, both flesh and bone.
The soul swept into a womb of golden light
greeted by loves who passed before your time...
welcome home-you've finally arrived.
