Conflict; Resolution

Mass destruction 
in a three second span 

Shorter than the thought that passed, 
I rolled my eyes and it was gone 

We weren’t even falling short
We missed the mark entirely 

Stalling at the gas pedal
Shattering your expectations in a glorious fashion 

Drive before we think twice
The thought will fade anyway

Mass destruction

Matthew Bailey October 20, 2023 at 5:18 AM This is the first poem I wrote where I was more than proud of it, and everyone I showed it to loved it and was very intriguied by it. This is an oldie but a goodie that will stay close to my heart forever
