Fighting in the name of God
An oxymoron
Dark, twisting desire for power and greed
sends the innocent ones to fall and bleed.
Powerful people hosting selfish purpose
seek every day men to fill their arenas.
Greed and power are too often sought
in the guise of something God has willed.
Killing and sorrow for those who fought
and witnessed God’s other children killed
could never see Our Father fulfilled.
