Confidence

Confidence walks ahead of me
Sixteen steps or more, people feel her coming.
They clear out of our way. She laughs.
Clearing my path. My eyes are bright with happiness.

I recently lost a cousin who seeped confidence from every pore of her body. It was nice of you to write a poem about her.

Thank you Kim. I was not assertive or confident for a long time, so when I "understood" how important it was, wow. Look out. Research has proven that students do much better test score wise when they think their teacher is confident. (I became confident for my children when I was 21.5 because I had two of them, and they were girls, and I saw what society would do).
