Confessions of An English Double-Major

• I’ve never been involved with a book club • I’ve never won or participated in an actual spelling bee • I don’t read or write everyday • I struggled with reading comprehension in elementary school • I signed up to volunteer at a library, but I never came in • I tried pirating a book once, didn’t work so well • I’ve burned books • I enjoy using “text speak” • I never took honors or AP English in high school • I had a year off of English classes my sophomore year of community college
