Concentration

Sharpening my eyes and hands,
I focus on what’s ahead,
Walking really slow and steady,
Being careful where I tread,

To the freezer, hiding in the corner,
Where it’s always stood,
And, with the load using both my hands,
Deftly opening it with my foot,

To see where it needs to sit,
The space filled with frozen food,
So, with one hand of concentration,
This food is all removed,

And the load slides in with studied effort,
Deliberate and precise,
Ending the effort for the day,
Not spilling the water from a tray of ice.
