Composing Breath
What words are they that say my love for you?
The knot that tightens deep inside of me
And leaves me longing for our love to be,
Then turns away avoiding your adieu.
I wish to say I love the things you do,
Your sweetness like incense to make me high,
For loving you is now a reason why,
A burning passion that is overdue.
Yet as we speak my voice cannot express,
It dries like an old windswept paper bag,
With those dumb clichés that make us both gag
As I see Elin. Beautiful goddess.
Oh darling, forgive me for I am weak;
And with a hushed breath I let my love speak.
