Waves wander unrestrained far out to sea in impassioned mood relentlessly striving to discover the allure of an elusive horizon. Undaunted I follow in their wake… A life fraught with the unpredictable. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Thank you on all points, dear Nette. There are short poetry forms which do not receive due importance on Soup, so I have to look elsewhere! Regards & Hugs , my friend. // paul

Dear Paul, I am deeply touched by your exquisite etheree. Fantastic title! Such beautiful use of Nature imagery to convey a mood of emotions rich with poetic expression. I, too, follow their wake, and at times, have been bowled over by it. Oh to reach and touch that ever "elusive horizon"... "Undaunted" love that word! Your last line is true indeed. A fav for me, my inspiring friend. Your presence has been missed, I hope all is well. Warmest wishes.. ~Susan

Dear Susan it is such a pleasure to have you commenting meaningfully on my poem, and you manage (effortlessly, I would say!) to pinpoint the main parts on which it hinges. Thank you for your sincerity and the generous congrats. ~ Sorry for the late reply, but I still find it hard to get back in the groove, though I do my best :) Warm regards and hugs to you, my friend. // paul

I sense a time of change in your words Paul and particularly like your use of the horizon, describing it at elusive. Do we ever get to where we want to go? As an aside, what’s for sure is that sometimes constraints in life can leave us feeling all at sea on land. :) Cheers - Gary

Horizons, rainbows, dreams... Frequently elusive. Still we chase. Nice etheree Paul
