COMMUNING WITH GOD
In praying to God Almighty
my soul finds comfort in His light
shining with bliss’ tranquility
for worship of triumphant flight.
Communing with good Lord brings joy
amidst anguish, sorrow and pain
smiting worry and doubt that annoy
toward wondrous thanksgiving gain.
Supplication to Christ always
upon His inviting altar
graciously builds faith of strong rays
standing as godly Gibraltar.
Intimacy with gracious King
of compassion and wisdom thrill
guards my mind from guilty lurking
to soar along truth up growth hill.
Around Saviour’s compassion bond
my spirit claims plight victory
Clinging for aid, sans magic wand
To shout jubilation glory.
