Comment On Decency And Morality This ole earth sets its unholy record as sin is so often celebrated The bad walk with chins and chest puffed out streets danger from the inebriated. Robert J. Lindley, Feb 2nd 1971 Quatrain Note; My friend Jimmy, died this last weekend due to his driving drunk. A completely needless act.

Thank you, my dear friend. I view that as one of the lessons in life that I was meant to have. As the next few years followed I had many more lessons. I came to see how dark this world is.. God bless you, my friend.

I’ve had a few friends and classmates go this way. A great cautionary tale, but youth often feels invulnerable to such things. From this and earlier poems I see you were able to look objectively about yourself at an early age. Not many can, or will, do that. John

Robert, dear friend! Condolences on the loss of Jimmy! If he was alcoholic, this is a good reminder to those these souls who have this disease cannot think rationally. If he was not, it’s a reminder to EVERY poet that alcohol i a drug. And poets here are users, they told me! But they think nothing of it. Fentanyl, included. They think they write better when loaded.stop that. Drugs kill, I wish I could bring him back for you. People want no God, trans-mania is going on. Evil in our government,.

Oh, I did not read the date, my error. I give Eddie many talks about not drinking and driving and also the other part not getting into a car. with anyone who was drinking. Call his parents to get him. He will be 17 soon. Still the same message for adults. Today, kids as young as 12 go to AA. It’s no lomger for older folks. Sorry you lost your other friend too. Thank you. my friend. Hi death 52 years ago, was a terrible tragedy. As he was just 17 years old back then. Another boy named Thomas drown about two weeks later, he too was just 17 years old. God bless..
