Coming Back Home
Crashing is no option in this fusion powered craft
Only I survived to scramble up the entry shaft
Man in space means danger but our losses have been tragic
It seems that NASA dumped us when we kinda lost our magic
Now the ozone layer’s fixed, crashing through needs skill
Getting through will prove to be a very bitter pill
But I’m not quite myself it’s grappling with my own free will
A hero with a phaser gun would slide its switch to ‘KILL’
Cranial incubation, I’m sensing that it’s grown
Klingons may be fictional but still we’re not alone
How many hours did we train to action self destruction
On this trip my brain invader stalls my own instruction
Morse code it can’t understand although it’s in my mind
Even if they get this message can it save mankind
