Come With Me

Come With Me (shortened version ) Come with me, hear the wind, feel the wind, catch the wind that binds us all; come with me, I’m calling you across the sea come with me, open your eyes and you will see that stars are lit a path to trace where you and me stand tall and true guiding us through and through into the night. Dark streaming clouds can race above but you and me will find a way to hold back days burning with cold. Come with me let’s fight the darkness with our song come with me for together we belong pick up your oars let’s reach the shore where up above the eagles soar let’s watch them fly forever more. We’ll feast on dreams that cast a spell we’ll write the songs that hate dispel and ride the waves on hunchback whales. Come with me, let’s write a song in every tongue let’s clear the dust that seals men’s eyes let’s ride the moon and melt away the stars. Come with me, hear the wind, feel the wind, catch the wind that binds us all. ___________________________________________________ You will find the full lyric embedded on the above video

Thank you for these wonderful comments Kudzai. I've tried to put lyrics to other composer's works, but truly, to this day Yiruma is the one who keeps on inspiring me. Maybe I should start learning Korean:)

Beautiful poem, Anne-Marie. Such lush imagery of love's enticement. Your pen was putting music to words. Nicely done. Btw ... check out the jazz song "Come With Me" by Tania Marie. It's a beautiful, bouncy Brazilian jazz song. Kudos on POTD. Lots of love to you.

Dear Anne Marie, Great poem, but the way the text is shown can be improved. So, your poem is far from deserving a perfect 10, Not even a flawless 9, Not quite an exemplary 8, But... in A Moment, found in The Secret Garden, I was Touched by a Moonbeam, like Springtime in the Snow, like Rainbows of Balloons and Suspended in Time Maybe You Said It to the Moon Maybe. I'll cast a barely adequate 7.

Bonsoir & thank you for making me laugh in spite of 'l'heure tardive'. i know, i know that i didn't heed the advice so kindly given regarding the text, but i simply couldn't help it; i like to move the words around. And who gives a hoot about perfection; i ain't entering no contest:) I'll grab that 7 though and before saying 'bonne nuit et à demain' may I ask when are you going to grace us with another one of your inimitable poems?

Dear Anne-Marie - you've excelled yourself in this. Take a Bow. It's uncanny that our submissions were about within a minute or so within each other. Uncanny too is that our themes are so similar and our taste in music. I've tried to put this comment on about three times but the website went down - A 7 and a Fav xxx Maria

Bonsoir Maria, you are absolutely right, it was uncanny. We've had a pretty powerful storm system pass through and it messed up our internet connection so I've also had trouble w/the site this morning. Thank you so very much for your wonderful words, the rating, and the fave:)
