Come Whatever May

As I travel down lifes winding roads I wonder of what is yet to unfold Is all I have done what is meant to be Is this the life that is meant for me I think of all the things I've not yet done Things I should have done when I was young Now I wonder if there still is time To make this life one that I can call mine I remember things that I used to dream When I was young with some self esteem But as years went by, I seemed to have lost my way And have come to the place where I am today All I seem to think about are the could have beens The many who's, why's, where's and the when's And I wonder if I could have changed The way my life is now arranged I think of those I've loved through the years Remembering all the smiles, the laughs and tears Taking in all of the many lessons learned And knowing what my heart so deeply yearns To feel the love from a heart so true No longer feel that there is nothing I can do To know there is someone out there waiting for me Who also wants to feel how good love can be I know that I have so much love to give There is so much life that I have yet to live I want to give someone all that I am And to love someone the way that I know I can To be happy with someone for the rest of my life That is the goal for which I strive Live happily together for the rest of our days Always with our love so strong, come whatever may
