Come Walk With Me

Come Walk with Me in This Sweet Place

Come walk with me in glens of green.
Enjoy with me the peaceful scene,
where falls cascade and rivers flow
and bracken ‘neath laburnum grow.
This is my highland valley home I show to thee,
that I may share its beauty rare, come walk with me.

In this sweet place I’ll make my home.
It’s been my fate the world to roam
in many climes from east to west,
now time has come for me to rest.
So I’ll return, once more my hills I will embrace,
Live out my life, my latter days, in this sweet place.

Ravindra K Kapoor January 28, 2010 at 5:34 AM Absolutely a beautiful Poem sketching your green fields with love tree laburnum. We call it Amaltas in Hindi in north India. It is one of my favorite trees which often show more yellow flower bunches than leaves. I agree it must be a rare beauty to behold in your valley but you have brought your whole valley in your poem.
