Come To the House
Come to the house
of Jack and Jill
He likes drink
and she likes pills
They argue fight
both night and day
about the bills
that got away
The baby boy
with big eyes drawn
then sees the fights
on mothers lawn
with words of anger
tossed around
the child learns
the fighting sound
with voices raised
for discipline
the child learns
a triple sin
you can not teach
without respect
The child's love
you did neglect
It's to the park
that I would go
to climb and teach
that childhood glow
with laugher
and the games we play
the child learns
loves, respect that way
