Come To Me

come to me my darling, my deary,
my sweet cheeked youth.
though snow may curl lovingly
about your brow
and life trace deep paths
around your ardent eyes

snuggle me cosy comforter.
your wisdom sings
through a masterful touch
that travels my landscape
laughing that i blush
as you discover me once again.

your hand relaxes
liquid honey trails flow lazily.
deep in your chest I hear your heart
my charm, my grail; there too echoes
your need-filled voice.

you fill my arms handsomely
we taste passion mellowed by time
it is rich varied tender-wild and artful
the edginess smoothed by knowing
come to me my snowy leopard
make time dance

I truly believe that passion as well as love of great depth and warmth can only be appreciated when mature for many reasons. Thank you Peter for understanding this piece and from whence it came i

Patty me lass I don't know how you do it! Get so much heart, soul and feeling into mere words. It's a skill I have yet to master. You make words tactile and sensual.

Oh Patricia to know loves rapture like that again. How splendidly written. The last verse just melts the words of the whole poem. I also want to thank you for having read so many of mine . Im going through my dry spell. Things are a bit pear shaped right now. You make it up for me. Love J

I is different at my age. All the posing has stopped, being honest is not fearful any longer. You know what is important. Then you love the heck out of it because there are no conditions. Thank you Jeannie.

A finely written love poem, I do envy those who can write love poems like this. For I simply cannot. Enjoyed the read. Regards, Craig
