Come, let's give it a try Every life is soaking with autumn color Why shall we stay shabby Said she He looked the other way They had filed a divorce petition I have fixed an appointment with a counselor She says We can resolve our differences He looked out of the window Clouds were painting They were walking to the therapy centre A car ran over the toes of a little girl Both rushed Held her with their arms As if she was their daughter The girl clasped them tight Both smiled Hummingbirds whistling I love you Both said simultaneously ___________________________ September 19, 2019 Any poem you want to write exactly 100 words Poetry Contest Sponsored by: Caren Krutsinger
