Colours of Love
Sometimes I wonder
What should be the colour of love?
Colours like red, blue, green all occupied
Yellow, brown and pink all well defined
Is it a colour which no eyes have seen!
Or is it that mind never perceived
I saw the colour of love in different shades
When a mother held her child
The colour was caress
When father held it became protection
When teacher held
It became learning
When he went with lover
It became sensual
When he grew old
It became wisdom
I saw through the prism of life
all the shades of love.
