Colour of My Heart

My heart shows human-nature’s sin-colour Of selfishness tints and arrogance hues Brightened by scarlet greediness ardour Stained with lurking false humility’s blues. Thus, I confess to God Who knows me well From His omniscience, never can I hide I thank His pardon of compassion-swell My heart He transforms thru faith-power’s tide. Imparted now with divine holiness By the redemption-blood of the Saviour My heart spiritually shouts loving kindness Reflecting, radiating good behaviour. With a cheerful heart*, glowing in God’s grace I’ll share blessings’ goodness with every race.
*Romans 6:17 But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you. December 4, 2018 1st place, "LATE 2018 STANDARD..." Poetry Contest Sponsored by Brian Strand; judged on 12/27/2018.

If God didn't love people of all races, He wouldn't have created them. Thought-inspiring, spiritual poetry, Beata. Congratulations on your win in Brian's contest, Carolyn
