Colors of the Sunrise
Shades of every color nap behind my eyes
hoodwinked by sleep I forget to remember
the chosen colors of my last sunrise;
Yes, its a game she likes to play,
hide then seek until tomorrow
waiting for my open-eyes,
"dawn's debut "
While I, knee deep in slumber
follow the reel in black and white,
she fans her skirts on Eastern time
while I embed at nine;
I claim the color black and sleep until dawn,
beneath the azure memory, of her brawn .
