Colors In the Sky
“Two doves in white flying, feathers glow beneath the morning rainbow colors”
Quote by Charles Messina
It was black velvet darkness, end of night
When suddenly, there was a burst of light
Orange spread across the horizon and hills
A sunrise shining in the winter chills
I thanked God for a beautiful new day
To see his creation and watch nature play
I swear the trees looked happy too
As they swayed in a slow dance from breeze that blew
The colors in the sky ignited joy inside
Gray clouds like smoke signals could not hide
The sun shined on tree bark, a golden hue
Reflecting upon everything to see that is new
While I watched the morning come alive,
I thought about surprises in all that I survive
