Colors In the Sky
"Two doves in white flying, feathers glow beneath the morning's rainbow colors" -- Charles Messina
A purple haze above the spectral rim
Of dusk’s horizon, orange and golden,
Against the gray of cirrostratus clouds
Capturing the magic of this day’s end.
I see faint blends of magenta and rose
Reflecting on the ocean’s ebbing tide
As the sun slips slowly into tomorrow
A reddish disc flinging up blurry hues
Its dying wish restored in dawn’s light,
Vibrant yellows in crystal shimmering
Across the waters quickly darkening
As glorious dusk becomes ebon night.
