Colored Memories
These early lessons. How to use wax.
Pick color. Match what we see.
Not what seems to us to please.
Careful strokes. Stay in lines.
How silly was the red nose, black face.
How glorious purple worn by all.
Faces can need green as well as gold.
No politics to stem our joy.
Make flowers bloom blue. Turn skies
into a new world. Dream. Focus.
Direct fingers. Be neat. Lines matter.
It seems so hungry to scribble yellow.
So hidden against bright orange.
But now all needed is a tap.
A screen hole to fill. Lines to widen.
Zoom in. Zoom out. Different talents
then the shade, blend, drama
when we sat by ourselves and colored.
Don't forget to post, tag friends.
The game changes. We still have power.
