Colorado High

Colorado is renown fer the majestic Rockies a-reachin' fer the sky.
Now, 'tis better known fer sittin' 'round, smokin' pot and gittin' high!

Visitors used to come to see Pikes Peak and The Garden Of The Gods.
Nowadays, they seek out cannabis shops wherein to spend their wads!

Some fellers gave up plantin' corn and melons to grow marijuana,
To reap the profits sellin' maryjane to folks a-seekin' their nirvana!

Now, in lieu of the scent of pine, the odious odor of pot pervades the air.
Glassy-eyed dudes stroll about pollutin' the air without a worldly care!

I'm chagrined to travel out-of-state sportin' a Colorado license plate.
Makes me real 'proud' to be called a denizen of The Centennial State!

James Horn June 19, 2014 at 8:16 PM pent 28 Aug to 7 Sep 1966 on our honeymoon there and loved every bit of it. Started out at Canon City coming in and ended up at Pueblo coming back out. Will never forget it. I have stayed out of the pot scene or rather should I say never got involved in it in the first place. My biggest enemy here is tobacco which I hate and despise. Jim Horn

But I don't hold anything against the people of Colorado. You have a beautiful state with many fine people like you and Vera. Love, Carolyn Carolyn Devonshire June 19, 2014 at 5:58 PM Florida's governor vetoed a bill that would have allowed for medical marijuana. People with cancer can benefit from the THC. Why not just manufacture it as a pill that can be prescribed for those who need relief from nausea or pain?

Not as bat there but it made a difference that was quite noticeable, Now many people want to see the beautiful sights while under the influence. Good one, Bob, I enjoyed it..... Robert.
