Color and Life, An Evening Prayer
Good evening Lord. My present desire is to have a few words with you before I retire, just to share a few note-worthy blessings.
I love to plant and watch things grow, but a green thumb I do not possess. A magic maker I am not, but never have I experienced so much color and life in front and in back of me.
Fruit trees of peaches, plums, lemons, and nectarines are primed to be ripe and abundant by mid-July if not before. The fruitless mulberry is full of life and well positioned and prepared to defend us against the hot summer rays of days just ahead. The cedars are poised with friendly waves of green. Beaming with promise are the high towering palms overseeing us like watchmen by night and by day.
When I consider whom I must thank for such blessings, I can only think of you my Lord. Bless you, Lord. Amen.
