Color-Blind No More

I have a dream intoned Reverend King So many folks then smiled and beamed But things are no more what they once seemed a color-blind society's no longer esteemed

Hello Gershon … the more things change the more they stay the same so the wheel turns very slowly - thank you Gershon - Lindsay

You're right about that, normally. But this year, the wheel is flying fast and furiously 'on the ground.' In the governments, of course, it's business as usual. Forever 10 years behind the times. Cheers, gw

Wonderful rhyme. "Poetry cum Veitas" Congratulations on a brilliant pen. I heard some "educators" teach kids there are eight shades of white. Plus these mortar board heads, make kids apologize for being white? King would never speak such moronic horse hockey. But you know very well, Communism is all about pitting one group against another. The wheels of the USA headed toward being a twin of Wuhan. It's frightening! PANGIE

Thank you, Pangie... Eight shades of white, eh? -- But only one shade that's right, i.e., 'black.' Fascism is the shade of this kind of thinking, methinks. Thanks again for your support, gw

So true, and what a shame in so many ways. I think we shall never get away from racism as long as "the powers that be" keep talking about racism. We should be well beyond it by now! What happened?

Hey, Milt: Maybe your question was more rhetorical than actual, but I'd like to weigh in with a short answer: There are votes, money, power and control in perpetuating racism. In my opinion, the Democratic Party does a masterful job in harvesting all four of those things by appearing to be 'the friend of the black people.' A true friend, however, would not keep masses of people dependent on the government by endlessly expanding welfare benefits and programs. O.K. That's my take. Peace, Gershon
