Collector
I took myself to the edge of forever night
Almost lost the will to fight
Looked into the eyes of hate
I was almost to late
Heart and body was numb
My brain was dumb
Exit of life before me
Death was all I could see
Welcoming that forever night
The end was in sight
Nothing mattered any more
My life should even the score
I welcomed the dark
Like a walk in the park
Just one more day
I'd have nothing to say
Didn't think I'd make it back
Light was turning black
At the end my body started to mend
Things I had yet to attend
Flashed before my eyes
Death fed me it's lies
I yarned for it's embrace
It hid it's face
Stealer of soul
Am I your goal
Steal the light
Wasn't going to fight
But I stepped out of it's reach
Saw the lies it did preach
It reached out to collect
It's due
But before my soul flew
I saw again the faces of those I love
Standing high above
They called me home
Before my soul could roam
The darkness fought the light
One epic fight
My soul suspended. Between the two
The hate the love grew
Both fighting for the right
To live in darkness or the light
I didn't care which won
I just wanted it all done
Hate and fear
It was always near
My eyes opened to the light
Thus ended the fight
I was allowed to live
My soul wasn't mine to give
My time may come
That might bother some
But death was beaten for another day
There is nothing left to say
